Utah!

These were my winning birds from the Father's Day Hatch along, and guess what? They, are maran mixed with EE, sooo, should give the olive green eggs! Funny how things work out right..but, I could also get the brown egg..but, I just know I am due the green egg. I know, sounds silly wanting a particular colored egg, but I have this thing for those olive eggs.

Waiting for pictures Lisa.

Hector may have all of his chickens sold already. I was chatting/crying with him of fb..when he Wow! Someone just texted me, and wants them. The person hadn't texted back..hmmm, ksl. I am taking back a black cochin with a baby. Scott is right now at this moment, making a broody spot at the end of the coop for her and future hens, or her again..which she does go broody a lot.

Oh, my polish are in lock down, due to hatch on Mon. You can believe, if they start pipping on Sunday, and they aren't all pipped, I'm going in by evening. I have 5 in lock down.

the chicks that hatched out of the Olive eggs that I had were all black too

Hey neighbors, I wanted to share the news that Fox 13 spent the day here putting together a story about the great goose rescue. In case anyone is interested in watching it, they said it was going to air tonight at 5pm & 9pm.

it will bring in donations for much needed vet care or placements for our extra grey dewlap ganders!
Yay! That is GREAT news! :) Can't wait to watch the news tonight. :)

Hi everyone! Man, y'all have been super busy on this thread.
I got on to post the good news that my Ameraucana laid her first egg(s) last night! Woohoo! Between 7-8:30pm. On the ground outside, a shell-less double yolker, kept intact by the membrane. It was so interesting/neat/cool/exciting! :) Hedwig has been staying most of today inside the coop, so maybe that's where she'll lay tonight and hopefully with a shell on. And boy, has she been talking up a storm!

Thanks, guys! The reporter seemed to really like the geese, so I hope she spins the story well for them and the remaining available geese can find good homes. I also hope the camera is not too unkind to me. lol

Sasha, by the way, that is really weird looking!!

Hector I'm so very sorry.

Wish I was closer to be able to help out. I hope there will be a good home for them. I know it won't be as good as with you though.

Sasha that egg it soooooooo weird! I haven't ever seen one like it. You win the strangest first egg award but hey it's her first egg!

That is the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I have never had an egg w/o a shell. If I did I expect it was eaten

Lisa, looks like you were ready to go..and have a blast..sounds like you did! I'm glad you got to go. I liked their music..back in the day. Thanks for posting pictures. You know what..you had me looking them up on youtube, and listening to some of their songs. Brought back memories.

Here are pictures of my black babies. Hoping to get some pips tomorrow from my polish eggs.

Puffy faces as usual

Very healthy babies..

Oh and of course, puffy, fuzzy butts as usual. Don't they make you smile? Baby chicks!
