Utah!

BluJems, CONGRATULATIONS on all of those awards for your goats!!! That's really cool!

Birdguy, sounds like a very exciting few days with your hogs. I think it's great that your kids were able and willing to help so much with the deliveries. I can't wait to see pictures.

Red, did you call animal control when you saw that dog running around? I sure would've. Are things ok with you? I'm worried about you.

My injured lavender is still not wanting to stand up. I have her in the time out corner, so she can still see things, but nobody can bother her. Sundance, I have to admit I was a big chicken and didn't give Thing 2 that second dose of dex. I haven't gotten rid of it because I haven't thought to bring it with me when I'd be around a syringe disposal area. Do you think it's still good, and if so, should I try giving it to this poor girl?

Yes give it to her. Won't hurt and could really help

Thanks it was cool. The kids thought it was awesome. Im also not sure when the egg was laid. We didnt find it till around 6pm. Would it still be ok to use if it was laid in the am? Since we are new to chickens and this is are first egg is there anything i need to do or know?

These are the suspects. I think they hatched around march 8. So about 5 mon old.

?Not sure what this one is

?Same with this one. She still has the huge bump also

Wow, loving all the pictures! I didn't know that you had a bantam polish Lisa. How cute is she, and, you use the same thing I do for putting some of my babies in for a break out on the lawn once in a while, works great ey?
Red, my girl also has black spots and specks. He had said that most would. Now for the waiting game for the color of those eggs! I just let her out with the big girls, along with a Wellie. I think Dalooras got the puffy cheeks, mine aren't that puffy..she sure is a character though. Not worried about the others at all, but the Wellie, runs from them. When they run, they get chased a bit.
Here are pictures of my Polish..now, someone tell my what colors they will be. I think you are right Lisa about the dark one..either a cukoo, or, a barred..I'm leaning more on the barred. It has a cute brown pattern around it's face.

Chipmunk pattern on the dark one..black and white/silver?

Well, I guess that's a brown and beige pattern around the face.

Here's the strange pattern on the yellow, and all those other colors..lol It doesn't have
as high a vault as the dark one

Buddies..I mean girlfriends :)

You can see the stripes..and a spot on the head of the dark one

white on top of it's back end hmmm?

Spot on top of it's head makes me think barred

Cute baby They are sweet

This one will be interesting for sure to watch how it colors out!
I will have to get pictures of my white EE mix now that you guys have shared yours.

Sphinx, how is that lav. doing?
Brad..sorry about your neighbors. I'm so thankful, so far so good. Why would they complain anyway? You don't have that many! Kim..did you decide on a time...I pm'd you, thinking tomorrow? Had the wrong name in there! Fixed it. :)

You have a bunch of good laying hens there to come. Best get yourself a lot of egg cartons! Are you asking what the chicken is in the first or second pic? Oh well, doesn't matter, they are both red sex links. Great layers! Your eggs should be fine as long as you collect them during the day. They stay good in the fridge for weeks.

YES A BOY HAHAHA! Definitely. 2 months? Wow. I will eat my hat if it is a girl. Those top reds with light tails are Golden Sex Links. (Red sex links, red stars, golden comets etc) I would guess one of those is your layer, likely the one on the top. Possibly the buff. Let us know when you find out, guessing is fun, to see if we got it right or not :) What is that bump about? Hmmmm.

[/quote]Cynthia, those babies are cute cute cute!!! I think they are both some sort of crele pattern. Sasha is the expert on that for sure for this group, see what she says. They def don't have white crests, the crele can be black and white barred all over, and lighter colors as well with gold....but the babies I have seen on the Polish thread that are crele are very speckly like those. I am loving the little dark one, cute little things aren't they? You are going to fall in love with them and there goes the neighborhood, haha! Sweet sweet silly little things they are !

Those baby gate/panels work wonderfully outside, found that at a garage sale and it has worked well. Sometimes they jump out but not much. I put it in the run too sometimes with a board on top and it works like the cage, only easier to move. (and lighter!)

My Bantam polish is the one Hattie sent for me, hatched from mycutekitties. Could not resist... Prefer the LF, but this little one is for my boy, and he LOVES it so I hope it stays a girl! She is Teeny. 5 weeks old, about as big as a parakeet. just a tad bigger...she was much smaller than the one that got trampled and did not make it.

Madchicken, pretty roo! Hope he finds a nice home.
