I saw those..with still 5 days to go..wow, look at the price already. And only a few. I found someone with a doz. for me. She is gathering them now. :D She said something about the F1 and F2 thing..guessing that is the years..and color? I just told her I wanted her darkest ones. Saw pictures of the eggs..nice.

This is my chick with the bad leg.

I took the boot off to show you. I've posted it under another thread so hopefully some help will come.

My experience with just tucking the leg in is, that they usually get stronger on it, just takes a while. By the next day. As long as it isn't crooked, no crooked toes or anything, my guess is it will be using it before you know it. Those babies are darling!

My order for Mcmurray hatchery will come Feb 4.  I have ordered all pullets.  I will have some extra Mottled Houdans and some Crevecoeurs and Dominiques.  Let me know if anyone is interested.  I let the chickens out for a run today they were so happy.  I have one black Americana Rooster available.  hes free if anyone wants him.  He isn't crowing yet,

I wish the timing were a little different. I will be getting mottled houdans and will need a black ameracauna roo. Unfortunately, we are doing major home remodeling right now and there is no space or time to make space for new birds. I have to wait until late march and preferably mid to late April before I can add anything. Le sigh.

I still have my Houdans coming March 4, I can hang on to some til end of March, will holler back at ya about it when they come to see if you want some. I ordered ten, will keep my favorite few and sell the others. I kind of like to grow them out a bit anyway to see the colors ;)

Lisa, I am trying not to read about the gorgeous babies you're about to get because I need chickens in my front room like I need a hole in the head. But, if you want to stop in and say hi Saturday morning, feel free. I hear you on the messy chicken coop right now. Mine is a wreck, and it's been way too cold to able to clean it up much. I can't believe how fast those showgirls have grown up! By the way, I think it's completely unfair that your chicks are hatching early. That never happens to me.

Blu, your chicks are very cute! I just love your baby goats, especially Boots (the orphaned one).

Hattie, those babies are so darling. I love that silvery/gold look. So with that one baby, does she keep that leg pulled up all the time? It almost reminds me celebral palsy.

Sundance, I am also ignoring you and the beautiful babies you are having come to you soon. Nope, didn't hear anything about the Dominiques.

Yes she does keep it up all the time. She doesn't walk just stays laying down. If she is forced to walk she just uses her one leg and kind of scoots. It doesn't hang like the other leg when she is picked up. It just doesn't bend down. If it doesn't improve I don't now how she will be able to live like that. Wish I knew what to do to help.
