I was finally able to get some pictures of my Seramas. I am in love. They are so pretty.

This is a black speckled girl much prettier in person

This is my favorite. I am told she is a buff frizzle but she almost look blue with a buff tipping on her feathers. Soooo pretty

This is a partridge frizzle. Don't you love the way their wings are held down. These birds are so little 8 to 10 oz

This is the rooster. such a doll

You KNOW I love the Partridge! They are so tiny..and cute!

My Australorp laid her first egg today..and was a good girl. Laid in a next box, with, her favorite hen friend, the Non NN. Now, just the Leghorn. Thought she was supposed to go first.
Where is Arivis? Her's should start soon! Same hatch day for her Austarlorp and mine.

And on, of course the egg was big, double yolker. Lover those first eggs..but, had to throw it out..until Sat.! Then we are good to go.

Lisa, going to try the pepper from now on. Hoping it does the trick at keeping the worms at bay. Mine had gotten to the point of seeing them. Not sure which hen. I had read up on all of the other alternatives, with some pretty harsh differences in the posts. Came to the conclusion..see a worm, forget the alternative..but, I do have the vinegar with the mother in it. And, will try the pepper in about two months. Reddish feed ey?

The ACV with "the mother" (unpasteurized, they have Heinz at Walmart or Bragg's) is supposed to be a tonic for chickens, to keep them free of parasites, digestion in balance, and even help feathers look nice...there is lots of info on BYC here if you do a search :) you add a few glugs to the water.

This blog, kept by an amazing very wise BYC'er, (beekissed) has loads of helpful info about ACV, mites and lice, fermented feed and other goodies: The acv tab is on the left on the top

Casa I still wonder about the Wheaton Ameraucana, no pink at all.

And of course I have to throw in the obligatory baby goat pic

Is this chick the Wheaten? It startled me for a minute. I thought I saw rusty red on the back and was like, "Whoa! Boy EE!" But if it's a Wheaten, that would explain it. And as for the last picture

It is a Wheaten that Casa hatched out and thought it was a rooster. And left it here because we can have them. But now we are not to sure it might be a hen guess we will find out if it crows. As for the other pic thanks she is a ham.
