Oh, Sundance, those hatching eggs sound fun! I am going to start a hatch next week for a school, and then my incubator will be running full time pretty much til the end of the school year. I'm so excited.

Cynthia, I'm sorry that you've had terrible migraines.

I had such a fun time teasing my dh today. I'm not allowed to go into feed stores this time of year without him accompanying me to make sure I don't cave and buy chicks. So today, I went with a girlfriend to the store because she wanted to get some. I posted to dh that I was at the feed store. Then a couple minutes later, commented on how cute and fuzzy the chicks were. Then, once my friend had selected her chicks, I took a picture of them in the box and texted it to dh. He's going all crazy caps saying "NO NO NO NO NO" I thought it was hilarious. Now, I do have to admit I acquired two new chickens today. My friend in Kaysville was caught for having 9 chickens when she's only supposed to have 7. She asked me if I'd be willing to take two. I said, suuuuuuuure! So, I have a new easter egger, and a silver penciled hamburg. So pretty! I'll try to get pictures tomorrow.

Sphynx-I am SO going to do that to my DH! Hilarious!

Hopefully by tomorrow it will settle down. The others are loving it outdoors. One is my little miracle..girl.

She's still smaller than the others. Red's girl is doing well. Turning into a different chicken. A lot of blue Red.

You're as bad as me. I love teasing my boyfriend with stuff like that now. I've gone to the feed store and started talking about how they have chickies, oh how cute, just one or two more couldn't hurt, then taking a picture of the chicks and sending it to him. He's usually going, "Stay away, we don't need more, we need to be able to afford the feed". I had fun with him last night with the duck on our lawn, too.

I texted to him, "There's a duck on our lawn".

His response was, "Get rid of it quick"

- to which I replied, "Ducky <3"

And he responded with, "Go away ducky"

Too much fun, hehehehe!
 
Thanks everyone. I have had them for years. When the clouds move in and out as fast as they have been, oh boy! Stress too..oh boy! Now, it's a clear day..for lots of days it looks like..I know everyone is enjoying this weather!

Lisa..I didn't know she had a picture of the Marans yet. I pipped it for her to day, and had it pretty much hatched for her. She did good, on the waiting to do the rest..that's the hard part when you see them with their eyes open, and they are peeping away, wanting out. The baby had more yolk to absorb, about 4 hrs. worth..she did it and waited. Looks like that baby is up and at em!

Sundance, had to read your post to DH. Too funny.

cyndi, how are those babies looking? Mine is looking a bit boyish to me..still a little early I guess, but I think it may be. :/

This is why I got this baby today. No new babies until next Mon. or Tues. This Japanese
baby is still smaller than a new chick! I can't tell if it's growing or not. The ones it was
with are big..out they went today. Couldn't have it alone. It finally settled down from
chirping all day. Look at that full crop. :) Lisa, is your Japanese you got doing ok? Is
it growing? lol...

I am soo happy you don't get them. Did you see that I posted pictures of my miracle baby on the Hatch A Long..Easter...? She is growing, but still smaller, I was wondering if you could tell by the beak if it was looking girl~ish. :)
