Glad that baby worked out so well!
Looks like I have a black SG, a black Silkie, three more silkies about the color of #2, and another SG like #3. Fun! I will get pics up later when they dry out. Kind of interesting the black ones look like little bats they are so dark with the black skin. Now I have to figure out if I should keep a couple lol they are pretty cute!

I might be interested in the black SG if you decide to get rid of it.

Lisa, darling SG. They are so cute and fuzzy when they hatch. Then get fuzzier.

I might be interested in the black SG if you decide to get rid of it. 

I wanted three-four SG to keep-- hoping at least one would be a girl. I only got three so I will hang on to the few I have I think so my rooster has (hopefully) at least one girlfriend in this batch....I really don't want to hatch more trying to get white, not this year, soooo done with the hatching eggs! Ugh! Unless somebody gets white SG chicks or pullets for sale anyway.....if I come across anymore I will let you know! Brandi might be hatching some.

Desert, I'm disappointed that only four eggs made it into lockdown. What a bummer. I hope you get four gorgeous pullets out of it.

!!! My candling apparatus isn't a very good one but I could tell the ones that hadn't formed at all. One is still iffy but I'm keeping my fingers crossed

. I agree, 4 pullets would be awesome. Knowing my luck with roos, that's what I'll get. I always have to get my roos elsewhere, while others get nothing but roos. The law of averages... someday I'll get nothing but roos...lol.

I love all the pics, Beautiful colt. I can't remember who ended up with all my frizzle chicks but if any of you get a rooster I want it back. I only want a frizzle roo so please keep me in mind,

They are looking at my camera--Woooooow! Waht's thaaaat!

Hard to get those dark ones, they keep hiding. Cute little brooder full of fluff though. hard to get pics under the light, will try for some cuties in the morning. The #1 chick is the most orange and has got the biggest butt for sure hahaha! She has chipmunk stripes in tan down her back.

One of the SG looks like it **might** go white, but could be splash, I think I can see some gray and dark tips on her back, so we will see what develops! A lot look white in these pics but they are a lot darker than they look out of the brooder light. Lots of gray down and oranges.

I am still so surprised at what hatched!

I have one, and Mo5c has one. I think only one other black one made it from the batch I got from you... and it was smooth.
They were so cute! If mine is a roo I would be glad to save it for you. It looks 50/50 right now. I will post a pic if I have time tomorrow, it is very curly!
Daloorashens sold me an OE too that I have been really is hoping a girl but it is getting really red so I need to get opinions on that one, they are in the same pen so will try to get their pics together. I love them both soooo much so I hope girls!

Desert, you'll have to post pictures of your babies when they come. I'm also interested to see how your legbars from me turn out. Hopefully they're gorgeous.

I had an odd chicken dream last night. Delarooshans contacted me and told me she'd accidentally given me the wrong legbar rooster, and could she swap it out. She came to do that, and then warned me the one she was giving me was also part skunk. It was so funny!

Soooo. One of my marans eggs has pipped. The beak poking out doesn't look very marans though, so maybe it's a mutt.

Check with Daloorashens, she got some Wheaten Marans eggs awhile back and was going to breed them but not sure what hatched or if she got what she wanted. Dang I was hoping it was a girl for you, wish I would have had more than one chick hatch!

My frizzle is slightly pink on her comb, but not red at all...but it is a little bumpy. If you have a chance to post a pic of yours i would love to compare and see if they look the same or different to help us guess genders
