Gary! Not Cotton! Oh no. I am so sorry. I hope those eggs hatch, and there is another little cotton in there. This heat is ridiculous! And it won't get better until late next week. I have been spraying my girls down, and putting frozen water in their bowls..I freeze pretty good sized bowls of water. Helps.
Brad, sorry about your bunny. Had that happen once to us in the summer back in the 90's. It's so hard to lose a pet. And with my chickens, it always seems to be mostly to weather conditions. It was a hard winter, now a hard summer, and it's just started!
Brian, of course I have to agree that those babies are just the cutest! I love those little NN's. And now you can see that leghorns have the best personality. They are fun. You will have fun watching those feather colorings change. That Dominique will change into bars. It's fun. I know they will love you, you will be holding them when you can.

Lisa, did you see the page on Broody breakers on The Chicken Chick Ladies site? I bought a cage just for that after I read that. I know my Bantam Faverolle will go broody again, but I'm hoping not too soon, if she does, she will go to the broody cage.
Here are her suggestions for this heat..and things to watch for while this heat is going on, and some things you can do to help them through it.
