How is my Babies doing??? I wish I could see them already

I wish you get them already! lol...need to ask her when her and Daniel are going out that way..sounds like she needs some time away anyway! :/

Have to put down my other breeder Siklie tonight. A couple days ago she got heat stroke and it might have damaged her motor functions. One of her legs stick straight out and she cant walk on it. Its been 3 days and she isn't getting any better. She seems to be content but i cant see her like this. She got a big water melon dinner tonight for her last meal.

Madchicken, I'm so sorry she's not doing better.

I had three chickens get really sick a couple months ago. I thought it was botulism. Still not completely sure. One died, and the other two pretty much couldn't walk at all for a couple weeks. They just laid on their sides. I carried them into and out of their leper colony daily, and made sure they could reach the food and water. Gave them yogurt. They had weird poop. After a couple weeks, they started being able to stand up on their own. They're now acting perfectly normally. I *think* they're laying again, but I can't be sure because they both lay brown eggs, along with 7 or 8 other birds.

Desert, I am so sad and disappointed in your peafowl hatch. I'm so sorry! You have got a HUGE hatch going on. I can't wait to hear how it goes.

Here's my legbars. They're getting so grown up. I think they are absolutely gorgeous.
I think all the problems came from me forgetting to turn on the air conditioner a few weeks ago. That and the humidity is different for peafowl. I had been juggling way too many eggs.... got Ebay fever and a few shipments were later than they should have been, so it got my egg schedule messed up. Ugh!!

.

I'm still learning my new inc and have way too much input from research. I did better when I didn't have so much contradicting info.

I too have a hen that I've been battling with, that has been overcome by the heat. One day she seems better, the next horrible.

So glad you had two that overcame their onset. Occasionally I have one that acts up with a walking problem. Some come right out f it. I too wonder about something they ate.

That little roo I got from you is still quite a character. He's in the younger juvenile coop and yet still meets me at the door when I feed and water. One of the Legbar pullets has started sleeping in the feed bowl. Guess she doesn't want to miss a meal...lol.

So I just (well about an hour ago) got home from Cynthia's. Went to get her adorable little OE, which im very excited for. Well she is a very persuasive lady. Anyone care to guess how many I came home with?...

Anyways Cynthia, it was very nice to meet you :)

The chick place, I need to go up that way again to get some babies from kyle. I could get your chickies for you and maybe even bring them as far as Gunnison. What do you think? Could you meet me in Gunnison?
My only problem is i Can't leave the rescue
