I have little Olive Eggers that just hatched, and a Rhodebar, and a Swedish Flower Hen. Pretty sure I'm not keeping the Swedish Flower Hen if anyone is interested.

Well, I got laid off from work today. They let 40 people go. But you know, there is a silver lining in there. I got my worst teeth fixed and got antibiotics when I was sick, and my medical bills are paid off. So, tomorrow I'll be looking through the job listings to see where my adventure goes next.

Hey, it happens. I'm honestly very glad that I was able to pay off my medical bills while I was there. And I've got a couple of leads on places that are hiring, so I'll be looking into those very soon. I feel more confident, now, after having worked for a mortgage company for 8 or 9 months

Finally got my first egg from my new flock.

Not bad for her first egg, its bigger than I expected and its a pretty olive color.
Question: today I noticed one of my other hens that is close to laying was doing a weird squat walk, could that mean she's going to start laying soon?

If your other girl is doing "the squat", she's probably reaching maturity. Yaaaay.
