Utah!

Here is the new chicks.

and the roosters that i need gone. first are the BSL roos. they are still young but are getting their hackle and saddle feathers and they are coming in red.

this one is a mix from Sphinx. Not sure of the mix but it does have a small beard and tuffs, and feathered feet. really pretty bird. He is also still young.

Also, does anyone on here have bantam hatching eggs? In the last huge windstorm our coop tipped over and smashed out only and favorite bantam flat! It was very sad. Especially because it was our landlords only chicken that she kept from a previous flock. :( I would love to hatch a few new bantams for her to have out in her yard for spring. :)

Sphinx she definitely needs to have that opened up and looked at. If you wasn't so far away i would be happy to look at her. I will be home tomorrow for part of the day.

I don't have any eggs right now but will have some in spring. They will be bantam RIR. I do have a couple chicks available right now. Don't know the sex but both looking like roos. I will go out tonight when the light is of and take a better look at them

The hen Momo is not available. She is one of my best incubators.

Aw man! I didn't see this til now. She has this big lump under her eye and her eye is swollen shut. She seemed like she had a respiratory infection, so I treated everyone with denagard. It didn't change anything with her, and her face swelled up. Meanwhile, everyone else looks great and shows no sign of illness.

I'll try to take a picture of her. Be right back.

Ok, here's pictures. I felt the lump, and it feels very firm, not at all squishy.

Other than compensating for not being able to see out of that eye, she acts perfectly normally. Eats, drinks, scratches around. Seems the same size as my other legbar. If I'm on the "good" eye side, the only way I can tell the difference is sickie's topknot is more reddish, and the healthy one's toupee is brown.

Bring her over she may have an abcess or a tumor. We can stick it with a needle and see shat happens. If its an abcess we can fix it, if its a tumor she will die.

Anyone in Utah with Russian Orloff, Delaware, Salmon Faverolle, Speckled Sussex, Silver Laced Wyandotte, or American Bresse eggs? I have hatched a few of each, but would like more and I am tired of dealing with the low hatch rates I am getting from shipped eggs.

Puppies, we have puppies! She did this fast! She had 7, but one was still born. Dad is a purebred Standard Poodle, and our girl is a Purebred Golden Retriever. Yes, she has white on her, but it happens once in a while, and we didn't mind, so took her. She's a love. Goldendoodles, only we didn't get any golden colors. We got blacks, and a chocolate brown, and a real pretty light silvery brown.

She's tired, I'm tired. :p
Have to add though, sure glad she didn't do this in the middle of the night. I knew she was in early stages earlier today, but she started around 5:30, had them by 8:45. Good girl. :) Now, if she doesn't surprise us and have one during the night.

Gary, I have the most beautiful buff silkie! Oh my goodness. I am sooo hoping this is a girl. It's getting a knot towards the back of it's head though. :/ Still can wait I guess. This one is going to be every bit as pretty as Cotton, if not more so. The muff and beard are unreal. If it's a boy, would you be interested?
I also have a splash SG I am crossing my fingers on. Has a bow tie and muff. Come on..girls!

That white one is pretty, but not as pretty as Cotton. Just sayin.

That blue is a nice color of blue..I like the dark on the silkies. Or the splash.
I should get photos of this buff. Just beautiful. The splash SG already has that tail popped right up on HER back. :))
