Fertile!
Red..is that girl on a nest of eggs the leghorn mix?
So since we are all in agreement that they are in fact fertile. I want to get a basic incubator. I've been looking and most hold dozens of eggs. What is a good one that is just for like 6-8 eggs. I can't keep any of these chicks, unless I for sure re-home some. But I really dying to incubate them. I might just have to keep one or two and get rid of a few outside.
Any thoughts. Its driving me mad. I do have 2 from today sitting on my counter with the pointy side down, and the fat side up. Any other tips. I've never incubated anything, and I need to go get an incubator.
Oh I'm pretty sure it wont be a waste of money. I think everyone one started out saying "I'm only doing it for fun", now look at us. It is so addicting. What ever you get you will be happy even if only one egg hatches. Just remember it only takes one then your addicted.I was thinking of getting the Brinsea Mini or a Hova Bator Still/Thermal Air Incubator 1602. But they are both manual turn, which is okay with me, but I'm nervous that if I manual turn them I will do something wrong. All the ones that have auto turn are like over $150 and not really knowing if these eggs are fertile, and only doing it for fun I don't want to spend too much on one. Any thoughts on the Hova Bator. It has really good reviews and I think I can add a turner to it if I ever want too.
