Red I might be interested, I don't have one of those outside. I won't be able to keep all of them that hatch, but I would love to have one outside, I like my variety flock Let me know. We are at day 18 and in lock down on my lonely 2 Bantam eggs, praying they both hatch.

Would anyone here like some Icelandic hatching eggs? My girls are picking back up, and I always lament eating such useful eggs. If anyone is interested, I may have a few for you over the next several days.

So everyone how uses an incubator, what can I do to bring up the humidity. I can't get it up past 50%. I have 2 huge sponges that are dripping wet in their, all 3 tubes of water are extremely full, I have 3 rolled up paper towels soaking wet along the sides, and I even put in shallow water dishes to give more water surface in there.

I have only opened it up once since I locked it down to add more stuff, extremely fast, like I lifted placed, and put down in less than 10 seconds. I don't know why it won't go any higher. Any thoughts?

Madchicken, is Momo broody again?

I think Momo's whole existence in life is to raise chicks' cause she only lays eggs for about three weeks after raising chicks until she goes broody again. She will be one of those 6-7 year old hens still laying cause she will never use up all her egg cause she only gives me 15 eggs every 4 months.

Thanks Wendy…. I can't get the humidity past 58%, but I'm starting to think its the digital gauge, because I have all 3 tubes full, I have 2 large sponges that I put so much water into them through vent wholes with a straw that it started leaking out the bottom of the incubator through the holes in the bottom, I also have like 4 rolled up 2 inch thick paper towel rolls in there, and then 2 shallow dishes with water in it, and I can't get it up. So I guess it is what it is, I will have to go buy a reptile gauge for my next project.
