Here are pics of my Wendy boys (just for reference... It's always nice to compare.)

The WA would be sex linked?!? I candled my ices last night. 3 clear duds :(, 1 blood ring. I am now down to 4 icelandics... That was fast!

Yes barred babies will be boys. Awesome huh! There is only one of those, so there is a lot of love being sent to that lonely egg :D

That is too bad about the Icelandic eggs--I have all these extras here, so hopefully some will hatch. There are 12 and I only want to keep 3-4 to be sure to get my one girl ..will hope more than that hatch so there will be extras. I will candle in the dark bathroom today and see how many are going! Thanks for the pics, it is DEFINITELY good to have some for comparison. I swear FBCM only hatch in males. I think the eggs that don't make it are the girls. haha!

Put my roos on KSL this morning, gone 20 minutes after I put the ad up. How cool is that? All four...this guy has a sister out on the swamplands, tons of hens, needing some flock protectors. They will love that! I hope they do good, they have been such sweet affectionate babies, no aggression whatsoever, must be the silkie genes....I hope they will do their job. It was actually hard to say goodbye to them. One was crowing so hard this morning we all kept giggling, it was such a ridiculous thing. My neighbors were probably wondering what it was, because it was the beginning crow, very strange sounding.

I also posted some of the polka dot NN pullets for sale, I better start weeding through making room for some of these Spring babies. I still am dying to order Austrawhites and Comets from Cackle, but have not sat down and done it yet. It is so fun to have chicks again, it has been since September! I will get some pics up of these little guys when they fluff up :love

Acemario--I candled--have 8 icee eggs left that are going plus the extra you gave me.

3 were clear, one icky ring.

My SBEL white eggs, only one had a ring, the rest were wriggling! Yay! So 11 left of those
My 2nd gen SBEL eggs were too hard to see in, they are blue eggs so crossing fingers. 12 of those in.

I just checked the other 8 eggs, 2 pipped internally and drowned, the other 6 were duds. so 7 chicks it is! Anybody want the chick that had the Polish mom and the FBCM dad? You are welcome to have it. I will likely keep the FBCM and 2 OE and hope there are some girls--2 already look really boyish though.

6kids farms, are you selling any of the chicks you are hatching from Sphinx?

Yes, I would be willing to sell a few of the chicks. I got 12 FBCM and 24 olive eggers eggs from Sphinx so if anyone is interested let me know.

I talked to Sundance today and she is doing better. She's still recovering her strength, but she is out of the hospital.

Congrats on the eggs and hatches!

Cynthia, you don't have any Serama eggs coming, do you? If you do or have young Serama chicks, I might like to buy a couple for you. I've got the one girl here that is broody, but the egg she's on is clear as can be.

Look what I got today.

Yeowch! Looks like that was painful on re-entry. I'm going to crack it open later and see if this could be my first double yolker! I'm not sure who laid it, but I think it was one of my pullets.

Wow Red..huge! Bet it is a double.

Not a good day here. Our son with Spina Bifida called me early. Bleeding, a lot from what I thought at the time his bladder. Got there, tried not to act shocked when I saw all of the blood loss he was having. He had a nurse come in and put a foley into his bladder, so he has a bag, and it's full of blood. Thick too, not much urine. Sorry if this is yucky for some.
Anyway, called an ambulance, he didn't feel well enough to sit up for us to take him ourselves, and the home health nurse said to get him to the hospital when I called her.
Hospital may keep him over night. White blood cells up. Fever up. Blood Pressure down. :/ I hope they keep him. He needs two surgeries done. I hope they figure that out.

Ok great, let us know how the hatch goes, I def would like a few more OE's. :D

Red, wow that egg is the bomb. Poor hen though! Glad Sundance is doing better.

Cynthia, I am soooo sorry to hear about your boy. I am sending all the good karma I can your direction for improvement in his condition!

They are keeping him. The home health nurse didn't do something right yesterday! She blew up the balloon part into his urethra! Ouch! Boy, that caused a lot of bleeding. They are keeping him overnight to make sure the bleeding stops, now that it has been done right. :/ He still needs to get that stone out. Hoping that he gets appts. set up, better yet, keep him and get this stuff done!

I am finally starting to feel better. Went to a swap meet today then took my Harry Potter movie over and watched it with my grandkids. That illness was the worst i;ve had in a long time. looked on craigs list in the phoenix area for chickens today. Had some interesting chickens on it. Congrats on all the hatching every one is doing.
