Lots of growing left to do. I have a white one that is from the same gal. It is really starting to look nice, as young as it it. That tail is starting to pop right up there. I am keeping that one in for a while. Tried taking her out with the others that hatched later than she did. But she wasn't handling it too well. So, she is being babied here in the house along with a couple of NN's. One NN is her buddy, been with her a while and already a lot bigger, another just hatched. Nice bow ties on those babies.

Got the news that my eggs from both of the gals that I am doing the hatch a long with, will be shipped tomorrow. I hope..that they both get here on the same date..Fri! Set date is Sat.

Yup! I know they need to be set on Saturday, I'm getting my friend Americana Eggs on Friday sometime, they are local, she found someone one on KSL, and she wants maybe 6-8 of them, the rest are mine to do what I want, and then I'm meeting Wendy to get my OE on Saturday somewhere in Salt Lake in the morning. Not sure if I will make the official set at noon time, unless I meet Wendy early, but I will have the bator all set and ready to go for Sat. And the minute I get home they are all going in. I'm going to spray it all out with Oxine tomorrow and give it a good cleaning, I cleaned it out after the last hatch, but just washed it. Its going to be nice and sunny tomorrow so I can put it out in the sun. I hope anyways. Then its getting turned back on Wed to get a good steady temp. So excited to set eggs again! I hope I have a better hatch rate then last time, but hey I was happy with the 17 that did hatch. At least I need 2-3 good OE Pullets and at least 6-8 of the EE's that my friend wants with her luck they will all be boys. And wiith my luck she won't hold out and get some at the store. She called me yesterday saying they had cute puffy cheek chicks.

Is 48” too high to have a poop board with the roost 8" higher than that? I figured it would be better in the winter for the chickens to sleep up there than lower. If I lower it, then it sits half way in the window. My issue is getting the chickens up and down from that height. Suggestions?
