Utah!

RED,I hope you find Chelsea, Ugh!

Ok look what was in my email this morning (ie LOGAN PEOPLE!)

Hello my friend,
Due to my husband's health issues, we've been trying to sell our beloved SunnyBrooke farm in Sandy ever since December.
We currently have leased it to a couple with the option to buy. They are continuing to board horses, but will not be doing poultry.

We have moved to North Logan. So if you live close to Cache Valley, you can still pick up babies from me. We are currently ordering in baby poultry for pick up as day olds & incubating eggs for customers. I have 33 one week old sexed pullet chicks to sell: They are Welsummers $9, Barred Rocks $5, White Rocks $6, & Rhode Island Reds $5.

Plus on 3/24 we just hatched 4 chicks from my farm's eggs. They are only $5 each, and are of course, straight run. They are from Colonel Mustard, my Lemon Cuckoo Orpington rooster on Buff Orpington hens. These chicks will all have his GORGEOUS orange & white stripes! I should have more of the same hatching over the next few weeks. PLUS, we have Cayuga & Black Swedish duck eggs in our incubator due to hatch before Easter.

FOR MY SALT LAKE CUSTOMERS: A gal named Kristeen Chase in Taylorsville bought one of my brooders and some of my equipment. She is doing what I did but on a smaller scale. Her phone # is 801-867-1950. Her website is: www.ChaseHatchery.com. I recommend you contact her for your baby poultry and hatching egg needs. Mention the code SUNNY on her website or by phone & she will give you a discount.

Drop me a line. I'd love to hear from you!

Sincerely,
Christie Brown formerly of

Exciting huh? What was I saying about not buying chicks......Erykah, the girl Kristeen Chase is the KSL link you sent me about the silkies. I did talk to her, she is hatching through June, so "maybe"....her stock is from Cackle hatchery.

I am hatching out Cream Legbars. I continue to struggle with my hatch rate but had four pullets and one roo as of last night.

Woohoo~! 4 girls to one boy.....you get good statistics on hens. I still cannot believe those chicks I got from you, from Wendy's eggs. They are almost all girls! Crazy this hatch is going so well with the females too, that is awesome!

Ace, I forgot to mention, those hats are stinking adorable. You have a supercute family.

I sent Christie the link to our thread. Would be fun to see her pop in!

Yes, I am having a good year for girls. Even with my goats I am currently at 5 doelings and 3 bucklings...wait I also have two daughters and one son, maybe it is a genetic thing.

I have more sons than daughters....starting to see a pattern here hehe....

Thanks Lisa for posting that I wondered what happened to her. I got my 2 EE's from her when she was in Sandy. That is sad that they have to sell everything and move. Hope everything works out for them up in Logan.

Anyways, thanks to Cynthia I dreamed about getting another incubator last night. Hahahah! I wonder what my husband would say if I came home with one today. They have Science Diet Dog food on sale, well not really on sale but you buy any you get a $10.00 cash card. So Yippee. I hate feeding science diet, but I need to get some weight off my senior Labrador, and she really can't exercise much with her hips and her with her knee injury, so its the only stuff that works with her. So I guess if I buy 2 bags of food, which is there limit, I will get $20.00 making the incubator only $25.00 Haha! Then I could really set some eggs for the hatch a long. Dreaming, dreaming. As it is I can only keep maybe 3-4 of the chicks that I will be hatching, but I'm only doing it for fun. So Everyone Heads Up. I will have Olive Eggers, and Americana's for sale around Easter, and maybe BO if we can figure out how to get me those eggs.

So Youcluckingatme... Do you think if I paypal you for a dozen eggs, do you think you can get them to Wendy in Ogden, because I'm meeting her on Saturday in Salt Lake to pick up OE eggs from her.

I know Wendy said she could bring them down for me. I'm meeting her sometime Saturday Morning. But I'm not sure how far away you guys are. So if its going to be too hard to figure out I can always get some after this last hatch, hatches out and the incubator is freed up. But I would love to try hatching out some BO, I have one, and she is so very sweet, I would like another one. So right now I could only take 12 because my bator only holds 42 eggs, and I have Wendy's coming and then my friends buying some Americana for me to hatch for her too. But I guess if we wait till the end of April, I could always get a dozen RIR and then a dozen BO. lol I can't believe how addicting it is to hatch out eggs. I need to buy a farm!

Anyways, if we can figure out how to make it work so no one is going way out of their way, I would love to have a dozen BO.

Silly, you are a lean mean hatching machine. I love it

well I've only hatched once, and now I want to hatch all summer long, just for fun. I just wish I had the space to keep all the babies. I hate seeing them go, because I baby my flock, they are like dogs really, they follow you around, and come running when the door opens. I just hope they go to good homes. That is the hard part.
