Utah!

Thanks! I went out and checked a bit ago, and they're still in it... so I suspect that even the smallest offender (Pip, the OEGB) can't fit through the bars. We'll see how they act together in a couple of days...

What is the white chick with the black lacing around it's neck? Colombian? I love how beautiful it is!

Couple of questions. Does anyone raise splash or painted Silkies? I have recently run across some pics of these types and I LOVE THEM!! If my little white Silkie chick turns out to be a roo I think I will be looking for a young hen.

Is anyone going to Rocky Mountain Chickenstock next weekend? I am thinking of going but I don't know if it's worth the gas $ to go all the way up? I ADORE poultry, but I can't seem to convince any of my family or friends to come with me so I might be brave and venture up there with my 11 month old. I just would hate to go and find out it is just a cheesy venue with a few vendors.

I hope to go if the weather is good. I will be selling some of my frizzle chicks and fertile eggs

well, they still have quite a bit of space in there, I just like them to have a bit more open space, so they can scratch for the feed that they make a mess of in the shavings lol

I figured out something that will work. I have a 'chicky jail'. They can reach the water dish through the bars, and I've just been putting their food on the ground, because I can't keep enough in their container because they keep shoveling it out. They're also far enough from the light that they won't get too hot, but still have a spot that is close enough to it.

So i ended up with 5 chicks. 4 from the bator and 1 from outside. I brought the outside one in because i don't have a place to put the hen and chick that would be safe from the other hens and cats. the hen is still sitting on 2 eggs. If i remember i put 1 egg a day under her for 3 days, like i said i didn't think they were fertile and thought they were from my Banty RIR. My camera has been dropped to many times so not the best pictures.

Splash with lots of red.

Another splash but might turn red? what do you guys think?

This one is actually pretty black with a red spot on the side of his head. Also doesn't like the camera or me. This is the one i brought in the house.

A blue. And just look at that beard.

This one is still needs to puff out but i have no idea on the color. Looks mostly cream with some red on its back and wings. Maybe a Porcelain?

So what do you think of the new colors? I call them WHOOPS!

Hey everyone how has everything been going? Was wondering if anyone had a few eggs I could have/buy from you. My BLRW is broody and would love to try and hatch from eggs by her. Pm me if you do:) thanks all!

Bitsy, oh my. I would have been very nervous about that dog, too! I would recommend talking to your neighbor in person if the dog is out again. Face to face conversation has always yielded good results for me.

Silly, those chicks are Ameraucana crossed with Icee. It's probably the Am making that one huge. She's beautiful! I can't believe how big they are. Crazy.

Checked the turkey eggs tonight. One has a big dark spot that has me worried. If it still looks funny in a few days, I'm tossing it. Yuck.
