Utah!

I had so much fun at chicken stock. Sold all the chicks I wanted to sell and even splurged on a Jubilee Orphington. She is beautiful. Darkness my Araucana won best hen at the show. She was so cute. She loved the hotel room. She stayed in the bathroom and loved looking at herself in the mirror, Really funny. I have some pictures I'll share if not hopefully Lisa or Wendy will

My adorable new silkie babies I got from Cynthia! I absolutely love them. 3 blacks, and 2 blue/possible splash. 3 have the vaulted heads I love and all are super fluffy. Just look at those cheeks! LOVE!
Thanks again Cynthia for saving me these guys, they are gorgeous! I love them! :)

You are welcome..and look at all that feathering on those legs! They will match great with the fluff on top!

i love the second one from the left! If it iturns out to be a boy.....you know :D

Wait, light? Not dark? Weren't you wanting a dark blue? I'm confused, as usual. :) I bet I will get a light blue boy..or splash out of what I am keeping to watch. You aren't wanting splash though, right? You know, with a splash, you can get the BBS from them. Of course you know the breeding combination better than I do..and I can't remember who you want to breed the blue with.

I would take either splash or light blue for sure if you get a boy....or if you decide not to keep a girl after growing her out and would sell it to me I would snatch her up for sure. Out of the blues, I like the lighter ones the most! The reason Blue was my preference, is I can get BBS chicks from him, but Splash can't father black, and Black can't father Splash. So they are not quite as versatile.

So, CYNTHIA, after you watch these and grow them out, whatever light blue and splash you decide to not to keep, Call me for sure! I still am looking for another girl or two and the boy for breeding. Then I can give you hatching eggs back, with some that would be 12/ SG and 1/2 Silkie! Woot!

Michelle posted this in the Idaho thread, looks like next year will be amazing! I am hoping to go again for sure.

It was great to meet some new people at Chickenstock today! I enjoyed seeing some folks from last year as well. So many gorgeous birds and adorable babies. There could have been more traffic, but it was still fun. Next year.............oh......totally plan for next year. Cal Ranch is going to sponsor the show so it will be held at one of their stores in the big stock room. Breeders.....plan on breeding early so you have plenty to bring. The advertising is going to be huge.

I have a beautiful splash boy right now almost 5 weeks old. He's seriously my favorite of my older babies and I keep tossing around the idea of keeping or selling him. I probably wont breed though for a while so I am thinking about selling him to someone who can use him. Otherwise im thinking about keeping him anyway as my only rooster and trying one of those no-crow collars on him. He has such a character and is always so curious of me. I love this guy but if your seriously looking for a nice splash Roo to use for breeding, i really think he's going to be beautiful. He's getting tons of pin feathers all over his head and im sure he's going to have a nice crest. And he has quite the fluffy cheeks, and full of feather all over his legs. I think he's absolutely beautiful.
