Utah!

sundance, I hope you find it! Is Hercules a LF..or a Serama..sorry, I just lose track on everyone's babies.

I carried my camera around with me in my yard today. Took some of my rose..love the color..and tried to get decent photos through the fence of my silkies. They are finally getting the silkie poof.

I hope this splash is a girl. She is all poof. Fun to watch her walk away from you,
her bottom and legs are all fluff.

The little pain is looking good. Not as fluffy in the legs and feet. Very small..girl..hmm?

The Paint again, and there is a splash EE. Going to pretty. It's a girl. Look at that
sweepback on my splash...:/

Oh..there's the splash silkie from behind..and a blue. :) Cuties.

Also, not convinced yet..that my older white is a boy
Love all that fluff! That rose is gorgeous! Do you know the name of it? That coral color would look great in my border!

Sundance I hope you find your camera, so we can see Hercules! Cynthia he is the frizzled EE that makes all these cute frizzly babies. I love your pics, that rose is so pretty, and the babies are adorable. Love the paint, makes me miss my Vinnie

Do you know if Brandi still has him? I have been wondering if she has had SG babies from him.

I have something for Cynthia, and am taking it to Diana's this weekend..in Taylorsville, is anyone going from Taylorsville to Spanish Fork/Orem in the next week or so? Hoping to find a chicken train.

Got some cute pics today.

Other than the nest needing cleaned ( I am scared to disturb them too much in the beginning of brooding), this one is so funny. Good thing I set all my SG and Silkie eggs, because sure enough, all 4 have gone broody at the same time, and are sharing 5 eggs.

Roosters...the partridge Silkie roo, daddy of the upcoming Sg and silkie babies:

The black/dark blue I have growing out from Cynthia. He is getting so pretty!

He has such pretty feet!
Lisa your birds are so pretty! I love that partridge roo!

Thanks! I like those back two pens, lots of purdies in there :D You can see my Houdans trying to peep through to get in the picture. She is such a camera hog. That is where I am keeping all my fair birds. The main pen/run is a "bit" of a mess. Ok a LOT. Two flocks, the old and new, waaaay too many because I cannot seem to make up my mind what I want in there. I really need to figure it out, there are way more than I should have and they are picking on each other. The Marans rooster has helped alot with that, but still.....:/ On the bright side, I have sold 25 birds out of there so it is definitely going the right direction haha ;) So many flavors, so little space!

Lisa, that boy is a blue! He is getting nice looking! I'm glad you took him. He should make some nice babies! Broodies! I think I am up for having some of those in the future. :)
It's hard deciding on which ones to keep isn't it?

Iluv..the splash has splash, just bad photos. Look at the top of it's head, you can see some dark pin feathers coming in, some are already in the wings.

[quote name="ElkMtnCove" url="/t/24/utah/24300#post_13601408Just outside of Park City.  Sorry for delays in getting back, working lots-o-hours.  ugh.

I have a blind bantam cochin that I took in, not sure I can save it's eyes but trying.  I was hoping it was a her since they go broody, but it's looking a lot like a boy now.   I'm thinking your guy might help my big flock when I let them out to free range in a field-fenced horse corral.  I get real nervous, the hawks are usually here within 10 minutes of letting them out but I don't have bird that really watches the sky.  Is he ok with big dogs?  I try to put a dog or two in with them when outside (my dogs are great with chickens, in fact the lab thinks they are his chickens, not mine lol), they help keep away the foxes, but the hawks don't care.

He's pretty bossy when it comes to the crows, and we also get the life flight over head a few times a day. I was watching yesterday as he hurried the girls to the corner of the yard. Funny. We have two German Shorthairs and he doesn't really care about them.
I had to hurry out this morning because he's getting quite the voice on him, I hurried him into the house, and when I took him back with treats, my Jersey Giant went after him. I think it's safe to say I have two Roosters. I'm not attached to the JG because it's seemed evil from day one, and his size is pretty intimidating. I'm home today if your coming this way, otherwise I need to act fast due to noise ordinance. I'm right by the S line so we get a lot of unwanted attention.
A lil side note:
When I brought him in this morning,he snuggled his head on my shoulder and closed his eyes. My kids have made him a lovable little guy. He has gone after me once, but I was cleaning out the nesting box and apparently that's not my business. He just pecked my hand enough to get my attention. And, he's a begging brat.
