Rural, I love your ducklings! DH says no ducks until we are in Delta, lol. Pooh! I'd love Khaki Campbell's or Magpie ducks.

Aw! If I keep a drake I will give you hatching eggs in a year or so to start your addiction... I mean flock! I have heard that KC's are kind of flighty, but you'll get oodles of eggs!

Ooo, double laced..not as pretty in the barn as out in the sun. Brian has one, it's beautiful..Brian, take some photos of your Barnevelder for Tell. She is pretty.

I have a pip this morning in my incubator. I hope those eggs do okay.

One of my hens is egg bound I did everything I could for her last night, and she's still here, but no egg yet.

Did you put her in a warm tub? ....and work it loss with your finger? Gross but it saves their lives and you don't want to wait too long. I'm guessing you already know this but had to mentiono just in case. One hen had a real wonky one, looked jurassic and hard as a rock.

Yep. She got two massages, a hot dip, and a sauna session. She is standing again this morning and isn't straining so bad, but no egg yet. She's in her own little apartment for privacy. If there's still no egg when I get home from work tonight, I'll give her another dip and massage.

Red, good luck with her. Knock on wood..I haven't had that happen. Sounds painful.

I am so happy for you!! I can see why you like turkeys! I ADORE mine. They eat flies!! My chickens wont touch them but the turkeys are pretty skilled fly catchers. They are 6 weeks old and are already starting to strut. Cutest thing ever to watch! They do it when my little kitten follows me out to the run.
