Utah!

Well the site seems to up and be fixed for the moment.
I know many of you have been anxiously awaiting my post of said first egg. Well the wait is over!

This is the exact spot, near the pond, where one of my lovely hens deposited her/our first egg. It was a memorial day to say the least round here. Got another one today, about the same size… patients seems to have worked & paid off. The dear wife and I are happy, happy, happy. (Well her more so than I)

Anyway thanks to all whom so patiently waited to view our own little miracle, the incredible eatable egg.

Here is to eggs in your basket,

RJ

cute egg beautiful display

It worked ! Rosie's egg on the left..and my little bantam cochin on the right. No egg from Rosie today.

Ok, going to be placing Rosie for sale. I just have to get my numbers down. She is soo pretty. I have too many out there right now, I have so much going on. I want a low number for the winter. If anyone is interested that is close by, you will be getting a deal for a beautiful bird that just started laying at 10 dollars. Let me know before I go to ksl.

Well for whatever intelligent reason, one of my roos decided to jump the fence, at which point he proceeded to fight with my younger roo and get his booty handed to him. So now I have a roo in his own apartment suite where he can heal up, but I had to put him by the turkeys. They keep fluffing up and strutting by him. Boys will be boys.....

Was it IFA or Cal Ranch that was getting chicks in? Has anyone seen poults for sale at the feed stores? I need a couple of really young ones.

Sundance, I started collecting eggs :)

My puppies are getting bigger. Started them on mash yesterday. They took to it like they had been lapping for months. That makes things easier when they start eating. Poor mama says it's time, they have teeth!

I now have only one left to sell...a black girl..yaay!
