Haha thanks you guys, i know im a bit of a worry wart lol. I am just afraid I wont be able to spot a bad egg and then end up stink bombing the house. Hubby wouldn't be very please with me lol. If Dixie is still acting broody next week then i'll give her some. I wanna see how committed she is, so that I dont risk loosing any by giving her some. I started them in the bator tonight around 9pm. I have both the digital thermometers in there. One reads 97-98 and the one with the probe reads 100. Is it the end of the world if the humidity drops below 20 sometimes, or above 40 if I dont catch it? I think this is going to feel like the longest 3 weeks ever haha.Thank you red, she did do the flopping around thing when I put her on the floor to see how she would be. It was pretty sad. Never had one that bad.
Iluv, you can wait a few days to see if Dixie stays on the nest. If so, go ahead and put some eggs under the perfect incubator. Get some cute chicks like silly did! I've given eggs to neighbors that had a broody and my eggs were a week and half along or further. Less time for the mama to sit. Of course, Dixie is starting right when you are setting eggs. Will be hatching around the same time the ones are in the bator. Now relax would ya?! Have fun. All you can do now is do the waiting game.

I'm like Ace when it comes to the worry of an exploding egg..no need to worry.![]()
I will definitely let myself enjoy it, I just want to make sure I do it right. I'd be sad if I get soo wrapped up in it for three weeks and then get none to hatch or get exploded on lol.Hatching is fun relax and enjoy it or its not fun. You will drive yourself crazy

I'm trying to keep the most accurate thermometer right at 100 but it Keeps fluctuating anytime I touch it to try to make it 100 and making me nervous. Is it ok if that one goes down to 97-99, and then sometimes goes up to 101 ? The other thermometer I have in there with it is the one you used and it's always about two numbers behind.
