Also lulling over the NY Day Hatch along email.......hmmmm.....I was not planning to set eggs until January.

youcluckingatme...I have fertile eggs, sort of....this time of year they are way less fertile so I do not know how many you would have to set, plus the cold weather messes the eggs...but I have a marans roo over Sbels to make olive eggers, there are some marans hens out there too but also some marans mixes and I don't have them separated so the choc eggs might be pure marans or mixes, who knows. Some frizzled hens out there would make frizzled EE's/olive eggers. I have a frizzled silkie roo and regular silkie roo over showgirls and silkie hens also, to make sizzles and shizzles. They are not laying a lot of eggs right now though, they just stopped being broody so maybe soon.

Silly I am coming to SLC on 12/3 if you want eggs. Don't know about fertility though, like I said, You would have to set a bunch to be sure to get chicks.

OMG, that is so tempting. I totally need new Maran's. I only have my special needs girl left since my other hen aggressively attacked my other one. :( And Penguin hasn't laid any eggs since early September. I need my Chocolate Egg Fix Badly. Plus a frizzle will be so fun. I have 2 OE out there from Wendy that I hatched last April. No eggs from either of them yet. So I'm still waiting for my Olive eggs.

What time you going to be in Salt Lake on Wed the 3rd? I have agility in Bluffdale from 10:30-11:30, but I do need to be home by 12:10 to get my son off the bus, but if I can meet you before that would be great.

I can't believe I'm thinking of eggs. My husband is going to kill me. Maybe I can set them up in the garage. They will be fine out there with a heat light after a few weeks old right? But I they would be here before the Hatch Along, I don't know about keeping them till the 11th to set.

Silly, it won't be til afternoon. We are coming up from Logan. Ace--I don't have any collected yet so I would need to save some up first, thanks for the train offer! Glad to hear there are not roosters in abundance from that hatch! Silly I could drop eggs to someone or somewhere else if you could make it back to get them maybe?
