Utah!

I actually have two of these this color, the other one is a lot smaller.  Also high vault.  Had to work with her a couple of days to get her appetite up.  She's right in there with the bunch now.  Doing great..same exact color.  I am hoping that she..is a she.   I love that little thing after taking care of her.
Note....the toes on this one pictured.  Perfect!

Well I'm in love and want her! Seriously. I'm prepared to sell a few of mine to buy yours haha. If you decide to part with any of those two colors with the high vaults, and thick feathered feet let me know. Just shoot me a message, with pics :)

I haven't been on here in a while. Been busy with work and property dispute with my neighbor.

We were wondering who has hatching eggs they would be willing to sell? preferably Ogden to Logan area.

My wife wants to add more diversity to our flock and I would like to have them laying before next winter. We have cuckoo Marians, barred rocks, buff orpington, and frizzled EE. She would like turkens, polish, or anything with cool appearances or colors.

I have a wheaten Ameracauna barred rock cross roo over a sIlver laced Wyandotte, cuckoo marans, ameracauna, and white leghorn crosses. Let me know if you want me to start saving some eggs.

I could come up with some as well if you want any of my breeds in your own flock...I have a blue Marans roo and have him with SBEL hens for olive egger chicks, and other Marans hens for black and blue marans....and other breeds for barnyard mix. I also have a silkie roo and frizzle silkie roo in with silkies and sizzles and showgirls, to make all kinds of fun stuff. The olive egger chicks I hartched last year started laying, and they are nice dark olive eggs and they are 1/4 leghorn so they are good layers.

I don't think the dark eggs are difficult to hatch. I had a 70% hatch rate on my BCM eggs in the incubator for the NY HAL and so far my second set in the incubator is doing a little better. The dark eggs are harder to candle. Veining is difficult to see, but at 5 days the embryo is very apparent.

Hi all!

Been busy working on a petition to circulate around Roy with our FB group. One of our group got a citation last week and rehomed her hens. And another needs to find a new foster mom for her hens. As for us, we still have our 4 ladies. Our EE hasn't laid in about a month but the other 3 are still laying almost every day.

My husband still wants to get a copper marans and a welsummer to add to our flock (or anything with dark brown or unique eggs) but I think we will have to wait until April when we know if we met the necessary signatures to get the backyard chicken proposal on the ballot in case the city council here still won't change. We need to get at least 1400 signatures from registered Roy voters.

This fight wears me down sometimes so I've been researching homes in Hooper, West Haven, and some unincorporated areas around us. Any suggestions? We want to stay in Weber School District.

@LPeaslee Do you have your own chickens? I have to get shipped eggs..don't have to, but...
These are free, but will come from GA. I hope I can get them to hatch. Thanks for the hopeful thoughts. :D

Lisa's eggs are awesome! Also, ask her for tips on getting the dark ones to hatch... She has lots of experience with those! (Maybe a little too much :D haha!) just teasin'! But she really has it down to a science.
