Muscovites are on my list of duck possibilities if/when I ever get ducks. I believe they originated in the Americas, too.

I forgot to put up some pictures last week. Here's the flock outside enjoying the swamp that was our back yard.

Thanks every one. It turned out to be a bigger project then i thought. And i still have to finish the hatching box and the quail growing pens. Tomorrows projects.

Brad...of coarse i will still use the girls to hatch. That would be mean of my not to let them hatch some of the eggs they give us. in fact one of my splash has gone broody, it the one from Cynthia. I am going to set up the a-frame for her tomorrow and give her a half dozen eggs.

Ooo Gary, are they going to be pure silkie eggs under her? I hope she is a good broody, then mama.

Brad, I will have some nice size pullets by spring. If you are wanting some by then, let me know. Either and Olive Egger, or a Wellie mix..or could be pure, can't tell yet. May lay some speckled eggs..I have a few of those, or, and EE.

So there was another article about bird flu---a flock in Oregon had to be disposed of, and I guess they had to burn their coop and bird equipment?!

Hi there, does anyone know where I could get sexed silkie chicks? Or are selling any they are somewhat sure are female? Does IFA sell silkies?

you know how much i love getting girls from you but as of right now those are not the breeds i want to add. i am thinking i want some black copper marans and hopefully cream legbars
