Utah!

Sambi...i have never tried to ship eggs. I have had lots of people ask if i will but i am to worried that i will screw it up and nothing would hatch then i would feel like i let them down and they would have distrust in me. Ya I'm probable over thinking it but hatching eggs is supposed to be fun not disappointing and i don't want to disappoint anyone, especially my friends on BYC. is there a chicken train heading that way? Anyone?

The incubator is working great. The first two hatches have worked great for collecting eggs that has been sitting in the cold all day. My first hatch was 27/49 and the second hatch is still going on but so far 28/38. I am setting quail eggs ever 5 days. Hopefully with this warm weather the eggs will stay better outside until they get gathered. The only problem is i have no were to hatch my Silkie and Sizzle eggs and i am throwing lots away waiting on a hen to go broody. So tomorrow i am going to step of that cliff edge i have been sitting on and add another egg turner tray to the incubator. I think i will keep 4 racks (42 eggs) for chicken eggs and use 2 (40 eggs) for quail. Lisa you were right, i have become dangerous but hopefully only to myself.

Shipped eggs do go through a lot and it can really hurt some of them so you're right on that. I just got eggs shipped from Alabama that look like everything I got is developing so far though, and one was even broken when they got here. But I come up there sometimes for family, if I'm ever up your way I may message you to see if I can grab some that way I know I won't toss them around like the post office would. That is if you want to sell some :)

Ace, they are darling..great layers, and of some pretty eggs to come I'm sure.

I also had a photo of the day. Took a couple actually. My NN..from Lisa, is in dirt spot with my white EE..they were probably dust bathing, but were done and just chillin out when I saw them. The NN popped up her head, and this is what I got with the first shot.

Another...

That NN lays the prettiest cream colored egg I've ever gotten in cream eggs. So smooth
and a very pretty color. That white EE lays the prettiest blue egg.

What a great picture. looks like they are posing. I am getting some naked neck eggs today to hatch for my grandkids

I have a son that is visiting right now that lives in St. George, and will be heading back either on Tues. or Wed. Gary could bring the eggs to my house, my son could take them home, you get his address and pick up from there. A thought.

I just gor a dozen french golden coco maren eggs to hatch. They are a really dark brown. They are as dark as the fbcm eggs I have hatched. I'm hoping I have enough chicks to bring back to Utah for you guys, Those that breed may want to get a new color. This lady almost never sells her hatching eggs but she gave ne 16 She also gave me a dozen eggs that are F2 Olive eggers
She also gave mer her hatching plan for the eggs that are hatched in AZ I'll let you know how I do with them

I have two Golden Cuckoo Marans, they lay sooo much better than the black! Love love them.

My incubator is full for another 2 weeks. Bah I would have loved that. I'll keep in touch with you for sure though! And thanks so so much for thinking of that. It would have been perfect if I had the room! :(

I would say get them and let them sit. If you get 2 dozen you will probably get half to hatch Just a thought
