i understand thatI am. Cal Ranch is where I'll be getting them though. They said by the end of the month. Yaay. I like getting my egg layers there. Also, in the fall I get some from Ideal. I need a couple of RIR's, and of course, another leghorn. Oh, can't forget, a sexlink.
believe it or not but i have always got my birds from others such as the girls i got from you or i have got some from others who got them from hatcheries. i mean so in some cases its like from cal ranch or ifa. also have never had day old chicks, all have been a bit olderLisa..is it the black one you got from me that is being a stinker? What is he up to?
And his feet feathers go clear out to the side and fan out, very pretty. He is mating really well but very protective over his original group of girls, he does not take kindly to newcomers, I think he sees them as a threat. I tried to move him to another pen to make room in the original pen and he was so upset over not being with his main group of ladies he screamed all day long, wailing like he was in pain. I put him back and he was so very happy, I just could not stand to see him like that. He is generally very quiet but that noise he was making was so awful. After I put him back they were all in the corner in a pile it was funny they all just sat there very quiet and hardly moved. Goodness they are quite bonded I guess!got a pair of se rights I could buy?Hello all…
Lisa, I've some Silver Sebright hens that are going to be extras, born in July of 2014. I remember you asking for fertile eggs, but I have spare hens… if you have interest. If not I'll offer them up on the board for other Utah members. I also will most likely have a spare Banty rooster in BBR, Ginger, perhaps in Silver Duckwing. I can pair up with hens if needed. All born as noted prior. Everyone is laying, 'cept the roos of course. The price is right to good homes. Not in a major rush, but looking for room for this years new chicks.
Regarding Large Fowl, I have a few RIR hens that will be a year old on Easter, all laying and looking good, perhaps a Barred Rock or two as well, same age as noted prior.
I am going to try to catch up on the thread, at least somewhat. Hope everyone is doing well and their birds too!

Half the time I can't tell which end is which. Haha!

It's wonderful fun to think about.
