I'm glad you didn't sell him. I worry about illegal bird fights when I have to let a rooster go, too. I don't want any of my boys to be put through that, no matter how big of jerks they are. I don't even like it when they have to settle disputes between themselves and just do a little biting.
I just ordered FBCM eggs from down south, they were expensive but I hope they give me some more black hens to work with. I will let you know when I get some hatched that I won't keep, it won't be long!
