Mason, shop around at IFAs. The one here in Logan doesn't get them in unless they are ordered and piggy backs off of the Hyde Park store. The IFA just north of here in Hyde Park orders a bunch but presells almost all of them so we had to order way in advance and then still couldn't get all the breeds we wanted in a two week period. We happened to stop by the IFA in North Ogden and they had lots of breeds in and they weren't all on hold. We went down on a Thursday and Friday and got all 7 of the breeds on our wish list. There was only 1 they didn't get in that we wanted. BRs and BOs seem to be very common so I don't think you should have a problem getting those. Our BR and BO chicks are the friendlirsf so far. Love our chicks!

Ace, I don't let RC out until Henny Penny and I have had our shared tender moment. Please do not let on. Red, thanks and I want better luck with the Viking eggs. Bitsy, good to see you and thanks for the kind words. Lisa, yes Karole, (the DW) likes to paint up the girls from time to time. We have a young neighbor girl, whom has adopted us and our flock, she brings her friends over and I get them all an ice cream and we have a Chicken Tea. She gets to expound her knowledge to her friends and helps them to catch and hold one. It is a bit of trauma, but people come before critters… even round my place.

Nice day again, love it.

I called IFA again today, and confirmed that they are getting a shipment from Privett on Friday - so I am going to go camp out there after work and wait so I can grab my four babies before everyone else does haha :) I have tossed around the idea of getting 5 instead of four, in case I end up with a roo, or have one fall ill - then just pick one to give away (which sounds like the most difficult thing in the world right now). But I only have room for 4, so I guess there's no chance I could go back on my deal to myself and just keep the extra girl... Decisions, decisions. I don't think I've agonized over something like this...well...ever! Guess I've officially caught chicken fever.

Hahaha! You will eventually succumb to chicken math.

Lol! The door buster rush for IFA ;) Love it. It will be the new trend!

Well, I set my second batch tonight. Oddly enough, I have 13 eggs again. Here's hoping the second round is better than the first.

Alright, DH is asleep, kitties are asleep, eggs are tucked in. I do believe it's time for bed. Right after I look at Henny Penny again, heehee.

I just incubated my first batch of babies. 9 out of 13 so far and the other 4 eggs have pips with one just starting to zip! I just had to share. Here's the first baby of the batch!

So not chicken related, but my fruit trees came! Eeeee!

And, remember my mulberry seed that sprouted?
