Don't ask questions you don't want to know! Don't ask them! When our neighbors let their rooster go free in the mountains, they didn't ask questions. In their head, they are still imagining the rooster is living a happy life in the mountains. They are not asking questions.

I don't have a clue, I found it on KSL. They'll pick up if you're close by depending on what you have. They take birds and goats. They say they are a "sanctuary" for unwanted animals and they act as "foster" parents. Seems kinda sketchy, but who knows.

I had to separate him from the girls tonight (his hormones are kicking in I guess) so he's in a little makeshift coop/dog kennel. I feel awful!!! Poor guy :(

Ha ha ha ha This made me laugh so hard! From what I've found online, it appears they try to rehome them. So they are in the business of saving unwanted animals... Or so they say... O.O

I found them on Facebook, and they honestly look like they are rehoming the unwanted animals. It appears legit to me.

Cynthia, I did see the name Sandra on a different site connected to the farm. Hope that's a good sign...
 
I may have a cousin in Colorado that can take
him, but that means driving him to meet her halfway in Grand Junction. My husband will DEFINITELY think I've gone chicken-crazy if I do that...
 
These blasted chickens are driving me crazy. I separated my silkies and cochins so they would have their own little pen to go broody in. I want them to hatch my serama eggs. But nooo they are mad because they are locked up and won't go broody, My larger egg layers I don't want to go broody are going broody. I can't let the bigger girls hatch the eggs as they are just too big for the serama eggs and break them. I did take a chance today when I found my cream legbar hen sitting on 14 eggs. they are still full size but in the smaller size with a lighter body. put a dozen serama eggs under her,
 
Anyone good at sexing easter eggers or houdans? My silkie hatched three eggs six weeks ago and I'm trying to figure out what gender they are.

I have a bantam cochin trying to go broody and I'm debating trying to break her or not. If it looks like I hatched all roos, I might let her brood and try sticking some IFA chicks under her. Shh...don't tell my husband :)
