Isn't she cute? This is one of the showgirls I hatched from Lisa's eggs.

We have a tiny little black frizzle roo from her, too. He is the sweetest guy! So sweet my husband claimed him as his new therapy bird. Lol. I'm hoping my order of no crow collars comes in soon.

so my little brahma has become such a big bossy lady. i think its funny. anyway the seasons changing for sure so i am trying to get ready. doing little minor improvements on my coop. talk of rain gutters have finally motivated me to put some on mine :)

Ugh... Will my chicken EVER stop chick piling?
Girls, you are all at least 20 weeks old! I realize it's getting cold but even when it was sweltering they were all piling up in the roost. They need to learn to be proper chickens!

On the roost? I know our girls refused to roost, they chicken piled on the floor or in nest boxes until we started placing them on the roost nightly. My chicken with really feathery feet (Sultan) still won't roost. I think the feathers make it hard for her to get up there.
