Utah!

Ok friends, does anyone know of chicken breeds or cross breeds that are good for jumbo size eggs? We have really enjoyed the eggs from our Cornish X ladies this summer, but their trip to camp is coming up with the approach of winter. I know there is an industrial strain of Leghorn that is suppose to lay jumbo because we had one once upon a time, but the eggs weren't massive like these. Plus that poor girl burned out really fast.

Ipick, cute pictures. Sorry you lost a couple of chicks.

my orphington lays huge eggs and so does my peaarl leghorn My marans eggs are big but not huge

By chance, were you the one that had CLs at the show? I've been trying to hatch CL chicks from TX this year but have only gotten the one so far.

I finally did it! It took months, but I ordered a pair of Silver Laced Wyandotte from Jerry Foley. These birds are just amazing. The type and lacing are incredible and they are big and healthy. I hope to improve the stock of SLW in Utah with this pair. These are by far my favorite birds. Look at all that lacing! They type is amazing on these healthy birds.
Wow. Congratulations! What is your medium and long term goals with them? They look beautiful!

Cute pictures, Sundance! DH's Appaloosa used to be that red color all over with the white flecks. Now he's mostly white from age, hehe. I really like Lacey's costume!
