glad i could give you all a laugh

red my bsl's lay the biggest single yolk chicken eggs i have ever seen, not just in size but weight too. and they have layed at a high rate for a long time now, they were hatched in fall of 2010. i believe mine came from mcmurray hatchery

Here is a larger specimen of the eggs we are getting from our Cornish X. Most are close to this in size, if not quite this big. I used it to make noodles. DH is sick, so chicken noodle soup is the order of the day.

I thought I'd share some non chicken pictures with you They are Lacy in her hallween costume and lacy at state far and smiling

Bummed we missed you at the show. We stopped by as the kids were starting western Pleasure and took off after the adults were in the ring. Athena and I will have to meet Lacy next year after you get back.

that is around the size of egg i get from my bsl girls hey what about some geese? some can make great layers i am told and the eggs are great and geese make great flock protectors too so that might help with some of your other issues that keep happening. hope your dh feels better soon

just saw such a cute picture on the backyard poultry magazine facebook page. a hen hatched 11 of her own eggs and then the owner got 250 chicks in the mail and she decided those were all hers too lol. its so cute. some girls are just meant to be mothers.
