Can anyone give me an idea what it would be fair to charge for a young (hatched first week in August) Polish Crested pullet, or for a young EE pullet (same age)?

I ordered way more chicks than I needed, because I expected a higher mortality rate....and now I'm about 15 chicks over my limit! Almost all are EE, but I got 2 Polish Crested pullets as my "mystery chicks" from MM.

I also have 5 RIR roos, same age, if anyone is interested.... if you can catch one, you can have him!

I really don't know! I had to get rid of my rooster a few weeks ago, and the owner of SunnyBrooke farm in Sandy gave me 6 just laid eggs in exchange for him. She said she was going to breed him (whereas all the other responders to my add just wanted to eat him).

3 of them cracked when I accidentally knocked my incubator off the desk, and only one of the three left survived. I really don't know what he is, but I'm happy.

But now I'm stuck raising a lone chicken

Poor baby.

I think my girlfriend wants me to get a silkie chick now. I wonder if I can just get a few silkie eggs to put in with my Maran eggs that I've got coming in the mail in a bit.

Kellog and Liam were EE's, and no. I ate Kellog, and then decided I didn't want to do the same to Liam when the Enforcement officer came around.

I saw two EE's at the fair that looked just like Liam, but neither of them were from Sandy.

If I get any more roosters, I'll make sure to post here about it. I'm excited about the Black Copper Marans that are coming, but I don't know when. The breeder was nice enough to delay shipping until I was ready, so now that I've told her I'm ready I'm being flexible on whenever she wants to send them to me.
