Hey welcome swbyers!
I ended up with 12 Delawares, 3 Golden Sex Links, 3 RIR, and 2 Barred Plymouth Rock chickens last year batch. They're about 18 months old now.
Last night I had to separate two of the GSL and the biggest Delaware from picking on the rest of the flock. [If one or more chickens are aggressive, separate them for 4 or 5 days, and it totally changes the pecking order of your flock. It really works!]
Anyway, this is my first year with GSL. I've tried Delawares, RIR, Barred Plymouth Rocks, Buff Orpingtons, Black Australorps, and Red Sex Links before, and by far, the Golden Sex Links I have this year, are the most aggressive. Not sure if it's the breed or the make up of my flock.
I've tried larger run, more protein, blu-kote, etc..., but 2 of the GSL chickens are just nasty ladies!
Keep an eye on them
Marty
