Hey welcome swbyers!

I ended up with 12 Delawares, 3 Golden Sex Links, 3 RIR, and 2 Barred Plymouth Rock chickens last year batch. They're about 18 months old now.
Last night I had to separate two of the GSL and the biggest Delaware from picking on the rest of the flock. [If one or more chickens are aggressive, separate them for 4 or 5 days, and it totally changes the pecking order of your flock. It really works!]

Anyway, this is my first year with GSL. I've tried Delawares, RIR, Barred Plymouth Rocks, Buff Orpingtons, Black Australorps, and Red Sex Links before, and by far, the Golden Sex Links I have this year, are the most aggressive. Not sure if it's the breed or the make up of my flock.
I've tried larger run, more protein, blu-kote, etc..., but 2 of the GSL chickens are just nasty ladies!

Keep an eye on them

Marty

Hey if you are willing to buy at least 5 IFA's will order them for you. Other wise try McMurrey hatcherys online but you'll probably have to buy more.

My brother has two adorable ducks in Springville, and neighbor is threatening to complain. (They arent legal there yet.) He has been enjoying them very much with his son. I'll ask - how do you want contact?

Ann

Hi Ann! I'm looking for ducklings right now as I haven't finished the duck enclosure just yet - however if I haven't found any by the time I get this bad boy built I think this could work out!

Just following up to see if your little dude was purchased by that buyer?

And just up update on Betsy: The human eye drops worked! She thanked us with an egg this morning, first one in quite awhile. It's good to have her back to her talkative self!

Checking in from Taylorsville (Right behind city hall). Picked up four girls today (the most allowed for my lot size.), and working on the coop....and the permit.

If you go to KSL Poultry section, search "Lindon", Shelley and Suzee often have fertile eggs. I'd call them even if they didn't have current ad up for them.
