Hey all! So I'm looking at getting a new coop for my chickens as I want to get some more! Anyone know where to get a good deal on one? I've looked at KSL the past few months but haven't seen any that I'm impressed with and the custom ones are WAY to much $$$. Let me know where you got your coops! I might just have to build my own . . .

My dh and I built mine (he did the vast, vast majority of the work. Though I did shingle it all myself. They look nice. )

What kind of goats do you have? I have Nigerians 2 will kid this weekend and have them coming every month till June.

My 2 does are Nubian, but we breed them with Oberhasli/Nuban cross...I'm so curious to see what these kids look like.

Sphinx, yes, I'm planning on all of those chicks being boys. Not sure what I will do with two of them, but I am hoping to hold on to one of them until a little later in the year so that I can give him to my cousin. He wants to get back into chickens and I told him I may have a rooster for him later in the year, if he'd like.

Saturday might work really well. What time are you planning on being in T-ville? I will work around you, since you'll have driven a ways to get there.

Yaay, got my first pip from my Australorp eggs.. Only one, will probably be like that all day. This is the same thing that happened with the lavenders, one pipped the day before the real hatch day, but all of a sudden, others were pipped,and it wasn't the first one to hatch. They all hatched a day early. Don't think these will happen that way, will have them hatching through the night I'm sure. I have two larger EE eggs in with them.

Hey Lisa, since you've expressed interest in my BCM/EE grandchickens, I thought I'd share. The second hen started to lay. I took a picture of the eggs they're getting now. One lays brown, one lays olive.
