My Pencils are younger than I was thinking..but they are a big bird..so looking at them, I thought older. They are now just over 4 weeks old. Really getting that pencil look. I have them out there with my black EE I told you I am keeping from Sonew.
Lisa, my black baby! It's teensy! My husband said that this morning, and I just told him that it hadn't fluffed out all the way yet. It was real sticky with that goop I've talked about, so I gave it a little bath. It was wet for a while again. My son comes home, looks in the bin, man, that is one tiny chick. I was thinking so by then too, because it was dry. It came from a regular size egg..no bantam eggs in this batch at all! It's sooo cute. I wonder why it is so tiny. It is doing fine. It walks well. It drinks. It's friendly. It's teensy! lol... not sure what to think about it. Maybe it will catch up with the others in a few days. Never saw such a small chick come from a nice med. sized egg.
I posted pictures of the same chick that I did here today..the lavender asking if it was too soon to tell the sex on the baby..first person said, looks to be feathering out like a boy! what?! And something about the K gene. Going to look that one up. ? Oh, and they really liked the big one that you got Lisa, said, nice muff on that one.
