Utah!

Hey Lisa, don't worry about your spacebar having issues. My 'A' key has been rebelling for a couple of years now. Sometimes I have to jam that baby down extra hard to get it to work. Bother.

Yard sales! Cheap, nice keyboards..everywhere! :))

Cute chicks, Blujems! Love them!

Red, I love SLW. I'm sure your girl will be really pretty, and eventually fit in with everyone. I'm sorry she's had trouble adjusting.

Corvidae, I'm literally sick over your losses. Seriously ready to cry for you.

Cynthia, Wheezy (the lavender ameracauna you gave me) is doing great. She had that one day of crying and has been fine since. It's interesting because she wasn't terribly friendly before, but now she comes running to me as fast as the other girls, and I've been so busy I haven't even tempted them with treats lately.

Dirty Dash was lots of fun. Supreme mud. Unfortunately, two of the three water stations were OUT of water, which sucked.

House showing before went well. Wrote an offer. Hopefully the sellers accept. :)

the dirty dash was really funny. All the funny wierd costumes made me laugh

I'm on a laptop, though. Think someone would let me buy just one key off of them at a yard sale?

This is what happens when you are the tallest thing in the coop their first night out. Me with some of the chicks that hatched Mothers Day weekend. There are four up there. They still have heat but in a secured stall (I hope), to make room for babies!

The first to hatch in this batch - my fave I think. Blonde and light silver so far.

Check out those cheeks!

Different marking than than I've had.

Pretty blues!

Hey just curious, but are you feeding them the medicated stuff? If you are, try switching them to regular crumbles. I had an issue with the medicated feed when my babies were on it. I ws a total dunce and didn't even think that it wasn't good for their systems to have it all the time

I second this suggestion. My chicks were about 6 or 7 weeks old, still on medicated food and their poop was horribly smelly and loose. Changed their feed to non-medicated and cleared the problem right up. :) Also, try giving them a little bit of plain yogurt with live & active cultures. They need to get some good bacteria back into their systems after wiping it out with antibiotics. :)

Cynthia-congrats on your pretty egg from your new Delaware! :)

Sphinx-Glad Wheezy is doing well and nobody else is sick.
Blujems-yeah, I think the chicks we hatched from these eggs are going to be hardy little buggers since they were the ones that developed and made it. All of mine are now thriving.

Your Cochin is very different colored than mine, but pretty! I'm just so stinkin' excited that my only Cochin is a girl. :) I'll try to make the time to take new pictures tomorrow.

Moriah-your chickies are so sweet.

We went to the Golden Spike today. On the way there, a chicken was crossing the road (hahaha!). The Highway, to be more specific. Howard saw it crossing and watched the chicken just stop in the middle of the road. Poor Howard started stressing, hitting his breaks saying "No! No! No!" as the stupid chicken ran in circles in one place, unable to decide which way to go.

Luckily, Howard missed the silly chicken who finally ran away. So he lives to cross the road another day.

Silver: To get to the other side!!!

Moriah, love your chickies, especially the puffy cheeks!

Sundancenbare, what time was your wave at dirty dash? I've seen some really funny, outrageous costumes. I don't go too nuts because something that's cute and funny at the starting line is kind of a huuuuuuuuge pain about 5 miles in and covered in mud.
