Utah!

I just returned from Seattle, Looks like everyone had a good time while I was gone. Cats did great at the cat show. Hubby lost a cochin chick while I was gone. He felt so bad it was his favorite, Not sure why it died. Is everyone ok up in the centerville area. Could see the flame when I flew in.

So after getting eggs like this all day long....

I went out later and finally discovered this one.

I hope the rest of them catch on. Out of six eggs I got one in the nesting boxes. I might try putting my fake ceramic one in there for a few days. This was just carpet I had in the storage room. It has been there 5 years or so. Thanks for the help and the ideas. My funny chickens just don't like me changing things around on them I guess.

Red sorry about your little chick falling. I bet she will be fine. Cynthia is definitely the go to gal for cute baby chicks. Hers are the sweetest and she has so many kinds to choose from.

Sasha and T-rex your chickens are so beautiful. The Polish are due the 22nd of this month.

its a long story but i used to fish at fish lake a lot and one day the fishing was on fire and a bad storm hit and i did not want to get off the lake and we end up being washed onto shore and had no water or food and had not had anything to drink or eat all day and i was in flip flops and had to walk 7 miles barefoot on horrible terrain and was attacked by animals and ended up with search and rescue called. that is the basic story of it oh and less than a week later my grandma died. yeah not a fun week.
sounds like you need to write a bokk about that experience!!

Well, I would have been happy with just two, but then they turned out to be males. So now I have two strapping lads, and no girls for them to hang out with. I had to adopt a chick from Cynthia (

) and am hoping that it's a girl. I don't care how ugly the hen is - I just want a girl, lol!

120 of what?? Sounds like you've got an addiction

Birdguy, I like you because when I hang around with you, my chicken infestation seems minor. LOL

Hattie, I'm glad one of your chickens finally laid in the nest box!!! I can't believe 1- how round that other egg is and 2- that it didn't break being laid onto rocks!!!

Sundance, glad your trip to Seattle was nice. I'm sorry about the cochin chick, very sad. I don't believe anyone in our group is in Centerville. Corvidae and I are closest, but we're both a good bit away.

Progress is going well on our new coop. We got it totally sheathed, window and door installed, and ply on the roof.

Nice work, Sphinx. I need to cobble together some more wood scraps and make a mini run for some of the chicks here. I shouldn't have given my dad his nail gun back yet, haha.
