Are those red sex link? No wait, they look tiny. Bantam of some sort?
Lisa, love your pictures! That EE..Fatface..lol..is really pretty. That blue cockerel is gorgeous, did you get him from me? And your Polish are so nice looking, I forgot the size of them, no wonder my eggs are nice sized that I have in the bator.
Sad news, I can tell my little Showgirl isn't going to make it. Woke up this morning and could tell that she wasn't doing well. Dang, and now that I can see her color better, it's not white! It's that Queen something color..not a buff, but a light light tinted brown. That babies eyes, stole my heart. Now I have a bantam that I really don't want. It is cute. Will have to find a home for her.
Lisa your Wheatens are pretty. Mine is a girl, pretty sure. I am getting the other one back.
) Looking like a girl too. My husband said to me last night, after he came in from outside..letting a dog out or something, but he comes in and says, there is a really pretty brown one out there in the little run. What is that? He was talking about the Wheaton. She is getting big.
I have my Cleo that is getting close to laying, the Amerancana, and a RIR. I am going to have a lot of eggs soon. I get 3 or 4 a day now.
Candled my Polish, I have 9 viable babies. So far so good. Love it that they are so easy to see, white eggs are the best for candling.
I really like those blues. Might try another time with a blue Ameraucana if anybody gets any nice blue eggs to hatch! I have lots of black chickens right now, the 3 olive EE's are black....then all the Marans...so If I get more Ameraucanas it will have to be splash or blue now. Ha ha my favorite breed I do believe---well I could pick 3, the Ameraucanas, Polish, and FBCM. Glad your polish chicks are doing well. They are so cute when they are little! Cannot wait to see them. Too bad about the showgirl...sounds like it was just not meant to be, esp where the other one was deformed, maybe those eggs got traumatized in transit. Dang those are hard to hatch huh! what size are those eggs? are they little bantam size or bigger? Just wondering what they lay. Glad you got some girls in those wheatens. Lots of girls in that hatch!
One in West Valley, one in Tooele. Fortunately, the WV one was a very good girl and didn't bother my chickens or put up a fuss when I caught her and walked her to her owner. The lousy dog in Tooele, on the other hand, is the same dog that wiped out my BF's flock a while ago. And there were casualties this time, too. Honestly, I'm going to stop saying anything about it here. I feel like I'm making it everyone else's problem, and I don't want to. Sorry, all.
