Could not get him out in the sun to show the comb. It is getting very big, very maroon, very three row-ed!

Anybody looking for a gorgeous Blue boy? He has a few more weeks and then will need to go, better find a home ASAP! He was my favorite little baby, so sweet and tiny! And has a very docile demeanor so far.

Hey Utah neighbors,

Sorry if I have not been able to keep up with the thread this week. I went on my midnight run to rescue geese from California from a horrid place on Sunday and returned home on Tuesday with 69 geese!! Breaks my heart that I had to leave 50-60 behind, but I had my trailer filled to the max!

For those who were considering getting geese, PLEASE adopt a pair!! They are beautiful, although in need of some tlc. Also, donations are much appreciated as I have spent over $1,300 (so far) out of my pocket to save these guys.

Here is the thread about the situation and the great goose rescue:

There is also a link to a rescue page on my signature line that a wonderful member set up for more information.

Thanks!!!
Oh my goodness, my heart breaks for those geese you had to leave behind, and for what the ones you rescued had to go through. Bless you for doing what you can to help all you are able! I really wish we could adopt a couple, but the DH has put his foot down for our animal limit this year.
You are a true animal lover. I used to spend money like that rescuing dogs. I would hear of one, get it, get it fixed, get it's shots. Train it, then make sure the people that were interested in it knew what the dog's personality was, and what it was bred for. Not bragging, just thinking it's interesting how people have different animals they decide to rescue. Have you guys heard, that Bob Barker just spent moo goo bucks on bringing three elephants to our country? I remember he used to always say, get your dog spayed or neutered. I had no idea he liked elephants. I love baby elephants!
Good luck with your geese. Pictures?
We used to do dog rescue too. Mostly Dobermans, but there were a few others that needed us as well. :) The rescue work is never-ending as long as there are people not willing to step up to the plate and educate themselves and be responsible pet owners.
I did know that Bob Barker loves all animals, but didn't hear about the elephants he rescued. WTG, Bob!

Lisa-I really enjoyed your pictures! Are our Elvises from the same hatch? If so, do you know how old they are? Your Ameraucanas are so pretty, and your White Rock-you should totally enter them in the fair! I think I'm going to enter Hedwig and since the judging doesn't seem to be too strict, I'll enter Clay too. :) I think Sierra may enter one of her ducks as well.

Thanks Sasha :) Cindy got the Elvis (es) at IFA about March 15, as day olds....I could actually show that White Rock, she conforms very well and has really nice feathers and is big....had not thought about her! We put misters out in the run today and she just stands under them, so funny, she likes water far more than the others.

My two black ameraucanas that came with the blue one....just checking them out.....one looks like a boy too like the blue. The other is a definite pullet.

So I may have two boys available :) Stinkers.

I see from your posts she also has chickens. What kind does she she have. we might could also help with those. If I hadn't been in the hospital I would have volunteered to go help

Lots of rescue people & places for horses, dogs, and even cats.... but no one seems to care about geese, which I do not understand. Geese are the perfect cross between a horse and a dog. They are beautiful, intelligent, form emotional family bonds, stay close to home, and are easy to keep. Here they are in my trailer. Front half is juveniles, back half are the adults. Total of 60. There were 9 babies in kennels in my suburban, which thankfully have already been placed into homes in my neighborhood.

We can't have geese here where we live but will be happy to foster some goslings for you until you find permanent placement. Let me know. I would need to go buy a pool and put up a fence
