Utah!

I've got some sad news also. The saddest news I've gotten so far. I'm being forced to get rid of my hens. My landlord doesn't want them. I'm choking up right now. All of my chickens, coops, chicks. All have to go. I'm heartbroken. I have till the end of August. One last month to take as many pictures and make as many memories as I can before I have to sell my pets. I know this sounds crazy but, after so long, my hens are a part of me. As much as I try, I honestly can't imagine myself not coming home from school, and going out to sit with the hens, picking them up and scratching their neck, gathering eggs, holding newly hatched chicks. This hurts me so much. (Yes pretty weird, I know) I just love them so much. I'm posting my whole setup on KSL, I'm praying to God that someone with a good heart will buy them and keep them and not kill them or harm them. I want them to go to a good home. Sorry if I'm interrupting a chat here, but I just had to vent.
Also, I need somebody that is committed to their hens and can buy my 2 hens that have chicks.I don't want them to go to KSL, some of those people are horrible. Maybe someone on BYC can take them in for me?

WHAT HENS HAVE CHICKS AND WHAT KIND? i AM SO SORRY HECTOR. WOULD IT HELP IF ANOTHER CHICKEN LOVER TALKED TO THE LANDLORD? wOULD YOUR MOM CONSIDER MOVING?

He has the whole thing listed on ksl now. He wants to sell the coops and accessories all together.
Go to ksl to see what he has.

Sorry guys I have no idea how I managed to get that listed so many times

I am taking the little cochin, he got her from me about a year and a half ago. My husband is trying to figure out how to fix a place for her now..I really liked that little gal. Didn't know I would want a broody girl, but now, I think she will come in handy. And, it's fun watching them. I get a kick out of it when I go to his place.
He does have a BO, with a baby now.
He said he had someone text him already about buying everything. Wonder if they were serious. Will see I guess.

I have black chicks..all black chicks..I know, I already posted that. :)

sad event going on, which I could help with those hens. I hope they go to good homes, all of them.

Chiko - check out this video.

I have some bantams in a 75 gallon fishtank with wood shavings from the feed store in it (without the water of course

) . I intend to put them outside eventually but they have been in there for about 4 months. They are in my front room and are much more entertaining than fish. I don't see why they would be any different than having a parrot. There are diapers that you can get to put on them so they can run around and hang out with you. Mine are silkies and they seem to do very well in the house. I let them out to play in the yard for a while most days because I can't let them run around in the house. ( I have a chicken eating dog) I got the fish tank at a yard sale for 20 dollars.

I am so sorry Chiko. I just want to cry with you.

I think I would cry if I had to get rid of my babies, too. Anyone who knows chickens knows that they're an excellent investment. They do a lot more than some canines that simply poop and bark loudly all day. Sorry, that's just my biased opinion. I do love dogs, but I've had my share of stupid dogs to deal with.
