yes they start out small then get larger as the chicken matures. Of course bantams stay small

Wow, that story is great, Janet! I'm glad you could get on the news. Has it helped at all? I still wish I could take a pair of geese for you. They're all so pretty, but I really love the ones with the black stripe down their back. Are those African geese? And the grays are lovely. I hope they all find good homes![]()
Thanks all for the support! I'm super excited about the interview. I've been trying to find a new job for a while now, so even if I don't get the job, I'm feeling hopeful.
Cynthia, have fun today! You and Kimmy will have a good time, I'm sure![]()
Cynthia are they Buff Laced? huh, huh? what are they what are they?or silver laced? huh huh?![]()

The suspense is too much!![]()
Wait, that isn't the ONLY color I got! I knew someone would guess the reg. colors. I do like the reg. colors. I actually haven't had the silver in a while. so..I will see if I can get pictures of the "other" colors.
This coloring looks like a SLW coloring Pretty
I've had buff color in my flock all right, but not laced like this.
You don't know how close I was to getting some Red Crested Reds too. Then I decided they were pretty much the color of red that I've had..and they were all red, so, I went with the buff.
Honestly though, I am so excited about those black crested..they are so unique. I hope I get a girl! One of each. But I understand you have to wait on them like Silkies? I lucked out on my Silkies. My white girl is also a girl..lol..like my blue splash. Cotton, is her name.
Kimmie and I didn't have much time for chicken talk, but we did chicken talk. Isn't she pretty?
My eyes are closed, but oh well, it wasn't you for a change Kim, as you were saying.
Ok, I am getting, not buff, not silver, which seems to be the colors Lisa likes, but I am getting
the White black crested Polish. They just caught my eye when I saw the pictures. Very pretty to me. I have had so many buff, black, silver, blue, and red in my flock, that this seemed like a neat combination. I do have the white leghorn, Miss Piggy, oh, and I do have the white EE mix, but she doesn't have much black on her. These should be cute. I just worry about chicks being shipped to me. They do their best at getting them to the airport when it's a cool part of the day, then they are mostly out of the heat. Hmm, until it's time to travel on the road. :/
Ok, so, Kim and I are talking, and somehow we get on the subject of Cal Ranch. I tell her I just had a friend that wanted to buy a leghorn from there, but they are treating their birds at the Spanish Fork Cal Ranch!! Kimmie says, the Cal Ranch in American Fork have chicks. So, I think, I will just go check that out for my friend. Then Kim stops us as we are backing up and says, by the way, they are only 99 cents right now. What? lol....I call my friend when I get there and tell her that these were in much better shape than Spanish Fork. 99 cents she asks? What do they have? lol...I ended up getting her the leghorn, a red sex link, an Australorp, and a SLW. Me you ask? Do I need anymore chicks. No! I really wouldn't mind having another red sex link, but, I did good. No babies for me.
LOL, just saw your post Kim, do you see...I did not buy any for me. I have lots coming my way, but, that 99 cents sure did the trick for my friend!!![]()
