Utah!

Ha, that's cute Sphinx, I'll bet they were pretty good at scratching those leaves around for ya.

That Lavender is very pretty. Hope she is laying well for you. What a sweet face.

So sorry about your frizzle, or sizzle, or what ever they are called. Wonder what was up with that. We never know.

I was just looking at mine. It's quite the little goer...gets right in there with the big Silkies and tries to eat, even though she's being chased away, she sneaks right back in..one of my Swedish Flowers is the same thing, hoping that they are tough little boys. :/

Potatoes? Wow, I want to do potatoes every year, but keep trying to figure out where to put them.

for the potatoes you should try growing them vertically in a cage made of chicken wire. you start them low and as the plant grows you add lots of rotting straw, leaves etc and slowly the cage will fill up and form potatoes inside the cage. it makes it so you do not have to dig much and you can actually get a lot more potatoes this way. look up growing potatoes in car tires, its the same deal but you would not have to deal with the tires. :)

I have heard of the tires before, but not the chicken wire. Will have to look into that one for next year. Thanks.

Birdman, you know something about everything! Love having you on here! That is a fun idea, I am going to check it out :) I realize so many things I do came from your ideas :)

My garden was kind of an exercise in disaster this year. All of my tomatoes that I started died. Then, I had a whole bunch of volunteers come up where I'd planted the potatoes. Since the potatoes were starting to die off already, I decided to let them go. And then they went crazy. Then, we discovered that I hadn't done a thorough job of harvesting the potatoes last year, and this was made even more exciting by the tilling we'd done. So, I had a ton of potatoes come up where I'd wanted my tomatoes to go. But since all those tomatoes were dead, we just let the potatoes go. So, it's kind of an easter egg hunt to find the potatoes, since nobody is where they were planned. I plant adirondack blue potatoes, so they're a lovely dark bluish/purple. Sooooo gorgeous.

I only had three chicks in this tank, and my other two were really sweet to the sizzle, but they were starting to really dwarf her. I'm wondering if there was maybe some heart condition, or failure to thrive, or something.

thank you. that means a lot to me. plants and gardening are something i enjoy a lot. its one of my best subjects. i worked in greenhouses for years too. at one time i could identify thousands of different plants. i am a total tree hugger hippie lol :D oh my goldfish are grown to around 3.5 inches now and i only feed them maybe a pinch of food a month or so. they are very hardy i guess
