Do you remember I bowed out last time because my mother wasn't very well? I was afraid to commit this time and it's a good thing I didn't as she passed away on Tues. Looks like it's postponed anyway, though. Maybe I'll see you all in Dec.

I know I said Mid-December, but can we push this off til mid-January? There's just too much going on here at the moment. I'll save some of the wine. I've drunk (drink in past tense, I was only tipsy I swear) a little over a gallon, and still have three more.
