Hi there, I am new to the chicken raising adventure. I will be getting my new "children" this weekend. I am getting 5-6 from a hatchery and they will be vaccinated. I am also getting 2 silkies from a private person who is incubating them for me. my question is this: where do i go to get the silkies vaccinated? I have read that some people get a large bottle of Mareks vaccines, but I only plan on having 2 that will possibly need the vaccine, i dont see the need to buy a big bottle if it is not going to be used. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Alright
great to have you joining the BYC flock

BYC has a very useful learning center

If you would like to see them little guys grow fast try feeding
them a hard boiled egg every day for the first week and they
will be much healthier in the long run

Welcome to BYC. That's a good suggestion from Kelsie - it just might be the solution that you seek.

Welcome to BYC!

Kelsie has an excellent idea there. I hope you can find someone that can help you out with more vaccines in your state thread.

Enjoy this new adventure you are on and welcome to our flock!
