Hello
I've had a bad luck with coccidia, all my hatches getting it at around 30-45 days if age and the latest hatch think it starting they're only 15 days old this time anyways I consulted a vet on vaccination against it and the vet suggested the following:
Baycox (toltrazuril) dosage at the age of 18 days for 2 days followed by ampicillin dosage for 2 days
Repeat once every 15 days or 30 days for the entire lifespan of the bird
I can't find much info about ampicillin but vet said it's to treat any infection caused to the intestinal by coci
I don't like giving meds to my chicks but it looks like I have to, I raise chicks to sell them at the age of 30-60 days and I keep some from each batch for myself to raise for eggs, what the vet suggested as vaccination is not making sense to me do I really have to keep my chicks on meds their entire like!!? Please let me know what you think
