Does anyone vaccinate their day old babies?

Their parents were bought from MMH and were vaccinated for Marek's. So I just figured maybe these needed it too. Got the vaccine from Jeffer's and the syringes from the pharmacy here in town...after they hatched, did the deed. Didn't enjoy it, I can promise.

What do you do for your birds?

It is much easy to feed them medicated starter feed for 1-6 weeks. If you are going to get some, the best feed is crumble. It waste less feed then the mash one. You may have to crush using the bottle or some thing that flat until the chick big enough. There is no need to crush the feed after the chick older than 10 days.

I use Dumor starter crumbles.....But is that the same as vaccination? Does it contain everything to protect them? If so, why vaccinate?

Oops. Read the stickies on diseases and it gave me all the info I needed. Glad I chose to vaccinate. Sorry for the post.
