Valbazen dosage for tapeworms

My flock tested positive for tapeworms and capillary worms and my vet said to use albendazole to treat. I bought a bottle of Valbazen and need dosage instructions. I have various size birds ranging from 2.1 to 7.3 lbs.

Albendazole (Valbazen) would be effective in treating the Capillary worms, so would Fenbendazole (Safeguard)

To be honest, I don't know if these can be used together, but IF not, then I would treat the Capillary worms first since, imho, they would be more detrimental to the chicken's health. Not to say the tapeworms aren't serious enough.

Valbazen dose is 0.08ml per pound of weight given orally once, then repeated in 10 days.

Fenbendazole dose is .23ml per pound of weight given orally once a day for 5 days in a row.
These dosage rates will treat the Capillary worms.

I already purchased the Valbazen (albendazole). My vet told me it was effective for both worms mentioned. I've seen 20mg/kg mentioned for tapeworms but I'm not really sure how to calculate the actual dosage.

I see. Well, the Valbazen will take care of the Capillary worms regardless.
Interesting the vet recommended a product, but gave no dosing info.


20mg/kg of Valbazen (Albendazole113.6%) equals the 0.08ml per pound of weight that I previously gave you
