Valbazen dosages?

I've never used Safeguard Aquasol, never will.

We eat the eggs after using Valbazen and/or Safeguard liquid goat wormer, and have been for years. I worm my birds monthly for the same exact reasons as you; living in northeast Florida and previously in extreme SE Georgia where our soil is warm and moist most of the year, worm soup. Both products wipe out all types of poultry worms, except tapeworms.

Aquasol only treats two types of roundworms; large roundworms and cecal worms. Sick wormy birds rarely drink, if they drink at all, and you dont know if they'll drink enough of the treated water to be effective.
Valbazen treats ALL types of roundworms. Direct dosing with a syringe without a needle is best, that way you know they got properly wormed.

Thank you for your input. All our birds are eating and drinking well.
Since we share our eggs with ones outside my family. I am hoping for a “safer” method incase of any person has sensitivities. But agree direct dosing is the best especially with a small flock. I may just need to suck it up and dose them all again. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Switching between chemicals will help with worm resistance. But Safeguard and Valbazen are technically in the same chemical family I believe… I wish there were more methods available. 😞

I havnt seen worm resistance with either Valbazen or Safeguard over the years in poultry. Maybe so in mammals, particularly goats as I have read, but I've never owned goats.
If you wish, you can change up with Levamisole or Pyrantel Pamoate. I used to use Ivermectin pour on, but it has lost its effectiveness against poultry large roundworms. It is still effective against poultry mites.
